Front Desk Staff
We are seeking reliable part-time staff to assist members and guests at the YMCA Front Desk evenings and weekends. Must have excellent customer service skills, basic computer skills and a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willing to get certified within the first six months of employment. Job duties include greeting all members and guests; being familiar with YMCA membership options, programs available, and facility information; answering phone calls; registering memberships and activities in the computer; supervising the facility; light cleaning; and laundering workout towels. Our Y tutoring program seeks talented, experienced tutors in all subject areas for students between grades K and 12. We help both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel. Tutors work with individual students one-on-one. Our team offers compassionate, motivating assistance to students, and we expect our new hires to do the same. Le Mars YMCA is looking to hire a lifeguard for our Indoor Aquatic Center. Looking for a dependable, responsible, safety-oriented person who works weill in both a team environment and alone. This person must be able to perform both lifeguard duties and provide excellent customer service for our members and guests. This is a part-time position which includes weekday 5:30-7:30am and 9:00am-1:00pm shifts, plus occasionally weekday 4:00-7:00pm shift. This position requires a current Red Cross Lifeguard certification or the ability to complete the certification upon hire. Red Cross WSI certification is helpful but not required.
