Stingrays Swim Team

The Le Mars Stingray Swim Team is a age group club team that has kids ages 5-18 years old. Practices are held three nights a week at the Indoor Aquatic Center at the Le Mars YMCA.
The parents and coaches help to build every swimmers' personal skills and endurance via structured workouts. Once swimmers have built their skills, they are provided opportunities to swim competitively with teams from Iowa.

To join the team: swimmers must be able to swim across the pool on their front and back.

Duration:

Regular Season: October 28, 2024 - February 6, 2025.

State and Regional Swim Meet Season: till March 16, 2025.

Practice Days and Times:

Days of Practice
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Practice Times:
11 and Under: 4:00 - 5:00 P.M.
12 and Over: 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.

Swim Meets:

Swim Meets are typically held on Saturdays.
We usually travel to Spencer, Spirit Lake, Algona, and the Des Moines area.
We also have two home swim meets during the season.

At the end of the Season there is a State & Regional Swim Meet at the start of March for swimmers who get qualifying times in their events.

The exact meet schedule will be given out during the Team Meeting the First Night.

Fees and Registration:

Deadline to sign up : October 23, 2024.

Fee: $175.00 (Plus Y membership required) (15% Sibling Discount)

Team/Parent Meeting: Monday October 28 @ 6:15 P.M.
