Indoor Pool

INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER

Indoor Pool Access

Access to the indoor pool is included with your YMCA membership. Non-members can pay a day-pass to use the indoor pool. (25 & under/Senior: $7; 26-54: $10) The indoor pool schedule changes monthly- check below for most recent calendar for open swim/lap swim times. Toddler Swim is offered Monday - Thursday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and is FREE for Y members or $5/toddler (guardians are free).

Indoor Pool Parties

Celebrate your next special event with a pool party at the Y! We offer rentals during open swim time and offer private rentals where you and your guests will have the pool to your self. Your fee includes using the pool plus the balcony party room, you may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Click below for more info!

SPORTS TEAM AQUATICS WORKOUTS

The water offers a great alternative workout for any team, no matter what sport they compete in.  Coaches can lead the workout themselves or have one of our Y Instructors take over practice for the day!  Sports team workouts are perfect for teams in or out of their competitive season.  They are designed to change up the team’s workout and have a little fun!

When: Indoor Pool Season (January – April & October – December)

Fee: $2.00/participant.  Minimum of 12 participants required.

Indoor Pool Rules:

  • Lifeguards do not replace parental supervision. 
  • Lifeguard Decision are final
  • Tight-fitting PLASTIC PANTS and SWIM DIAPERS are REQUIRED on all children age 2 and under. Plastic pants and swim diapers are for sale at the front desk for $2.00. 
  • Children 8 and under MUST have someone 15 years old or older within arms reach of them at ALL TIMES. 
  • Only US Coast Guard approved lifejackets are allowed when child is within arms reach of someone touching the bottom. No other floatation devices are allowed including but limited to water wings, flotation swimsuits, rafts, etc. 
  • US Coast Guard lifejackets are available for use in the pool area with varying sizes depending on weight (Infant, Child, & Youth). 
  • No other flotation devices are allowed including but not limited to water wing, flotation swimsuits, rafts, ect. Limited quantities of lifejackets available to borrow.
  • Tempered glass goggles are NOT allowed, they can shatter which requires us to drain the pool.
  • There is NO food or drink allowed in the pool area. Please keep food and drinks in the lobby area or Balcony area. 
  • Water in plastic water bottles is permitted. 
  • No glass, gum, tobacco, alcohol or coolers allowed. 
  • No street shoes allowed in the pool. 
  • All swimming patrons entering the water MUST be wearing a swim suit. 
  • No Diving allowed in the facility. 
  • No running or rough play in the hallways, shower rooms, or pool area. 
  • No water guns. 
  • Lockers are available in the lobby, please bring your own lock. No locks may may be left on overnight. The Le Mars YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 
  • Please do not leave personal belongings in the pool area or changing rooms. 
  • Shower before entering the pool area. 
  • Only soft toys are allowed in the pool area. 
  • Never distract the lifeguards unless assistance is needed. 
  • Swimmers must be at least 16 years old to use lap swim equipment (Fins, Kickboards, etc.).
  • During open swim, ONLY noodles are permitted in the flow channel.

Splash Pad Rules

  1. Parents are required to watch their children while using the Splash Pad.
  2. Splash Pad will not be turned on during group swim lessons, water fitness class, or swim team practice.

Slide Rules

  1. Slide exits into 6 feet of water. All sliders MUST be able to swim, swim test required.
  2. One person on the slide at a time.
  3. No floatation devices allowed on slide.
  4. No catching at the bottom of slide
  5. Feet first on your back only, no flipping.
