2025 Outdoor Pool Season
Opens Saturday, May 24!
The Le Mars YMCA manages the outdoor pool for the City of Le Mars. The outdoor pool, across the street from the Le Mars YMCA, is available as an add-on (additional fee) for YMCA members. Community members can also purchase seasonal memberships, budget passes or day passes for entry. (The indoor pool is included with your YMCA membership.)
The outdoor pool offers 6 lanes for lap swim and open swim, zero depth entry with play features for small children, a dive well with a diving board, plus a slide that exits in shallow water.
Outdoor pool programming includes group swim lessons, private or semi-private swim lessons, and swim team. We also offer group fitness classes, lap swim, and private adult swim lessons. There is a concession stand with a wide variety of snacks and drinks, shade features, lounge chairs, and a sand park with playground equipment. Locker rooms include showers, changing areas and baby changing tables.
Inclement Weather: The YMCA will close the pool in the event of inclement weather if the safety of our members and guests is at risk. While we will try to “wait out the storm”, the pool will remain closed for 30 minutes after each lightening strike or clap of thunder.
Refunds will not be given due to any reason including but not limited to weather, contamination and low attendance. Season passes are not transferable and are to be used by the patron assigned.
Aquatic Director/Pool Manager/Head Guards reserve the right to prohibit anyone from using the facility due to poor conduct. Please be respectful of each other and the rights of others to have fun at the Le Mars Outdoor Pool.

Le Mars YMCA Memberships are valid at the YMCA and Indoor Pool ONLY. Y members will have to purchase an outdoor pool add-on.
Community Members can purchase season memberships, budget passes and day passes to access the outdoor pool.
Budget Passes are offered for youth and adults/seniors. Each budget pass has 13 punches for entry to the outdoor pool. Passes are non-transferable from season to season, they are only valid during the season purchased. Outdoor pool budget passes can not be used for the indoor pool. Budget passes can be shared within a family. Budget passes can not be used for water fitness classes.
Day Passes can be purchased if you do not have a season membership or budget pass. Visitors purchasing a day pass can sign our attendance sheet and are welcome to come and go during the day.
Outdoor Pool Party Rental (during open swim hours)
Make it a party to remember! Must book at least one week in advance. No outside food or drink. One adult must be in the pool for every 2 children under the age of 7. Each option below is priced per guest.
OPTION A: Swimming only. Date/Time options: Monday-Friday between 7:00-9:00 PM. $1.75/guest.
OPTION B: Swimming, reserved table, ice cream treat & drink. Date/Time options: Monday-Friday between 7:00-9:00 PM. $4/guest.
OPTION C: Swimming only. Date/Time options: Saturday or Sunday between 1:00-5:00 PM. $3.50/guest.
OPTION D: Swimming, reserved table, ice cream treat & drink. Date/Time options: Saturday or Sunday between 1:00-5:00 PM. $6/guest.

Outdoor Private Pool Party Rental
Celebrate your next event with a private pool party! You and your guests will have the pool to yourselves. Parties need to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
FEES: 1-50 people: $120/hour. 51-100 people: $140/hour. 101-150 people: $160/hour.
DAYS/TIME AVAILABLE: Fridays between 7:00-9:00 PM or Saturdays and Sundays between 5:30-9:00 PM.
