Front Desk Staff- Opener: T/Th 4:45 – 9:00 AM
We are hiring for a part-time employee to help the YMCA open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:45 AM until 9:00 AM. Other shifts may become available upon hire. The Front Desk Staff at the Le Mars YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. The YMCA representative responds to member and guest needs and promotes memberships and programs. Greets members and guests in a kind, nurturing, genuine and appropriate way. Is able to process sales transactions, calculate and return change when required by the payment method, reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts, and report issues with transactions to supervisor or designated leadership staff.
Lifeguard (daytime)
The Lifeguard at the Le Mars YMCA is responsible for ensuring the safety of the Aquatic Center’s patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. It is also the lifeguard’s expectation to ensure that patrons have an enjoyable experience while attending the Aquatic Center. Training is FREE if you work for the Y! Swim Lesson Instructor
The Water Safety Instructor at the Le Mars YMCA helps people learn to be safe when they are in, on or around the water and to help them learn the necessary swimming skills for each appropriate level. Training is FREE if you work for the Y! Any questions contact Jack: jacke@lemarsymca.org.
Water Exercise Instructor (summer- mornings)
We are looking for 1-2 instructors who can teach water fitness classes at our outdoor pool. Ideally on T/Th at 9:00 AM. Group Exercise Instructors facilitate group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels; effectively building community within the class and modifying class as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs.
