The YMCA is a hub in your community for people of ALL ages to participate in athletics, programming, fitness classes and community events. It’s where children receive quality childcare and support in a safe environment. And it’s where 100’s of kids have the best summer ever.
We have seen firsthand how the Y is making a difference in the lives of youth, families, and seniors in our community. What makes us unique is our ability to serve all ages, all stages of life, from any backgrounds-regardless of their ability to pay. At the y, we are here for YOU. What keeps me connected to the YMCA are stories like this:
“Our family has had a tough season. In the last year alone we have suffered the loss of a child, multiple deaths of loved ones, job loss & increasing financial barriers in a home where there are disabilities for multiple family members coupled with other ongoing struggles. This scholarship would help support our family by providing the children with a safe place to go after school while encouraging the formation of friendships & fostering a sense of belonging in a stable community that promotes equality & the opportunity for individuals to reach their full potential with dignity”
THE IMPACT YOUR GIFT CAN MAKE
- $50 A child learns safety around water with a session of swim lessons.
- $75 Supports a tutoring student by offering a 50% discount on 10, one-on-one sessions
- $100 Helps purchase a healthy snack for one day in our Early Out Program at all schools.
- $160 A week of Summer Day Camp for a child to stay connected with friends in a safe place.
- $360 A child has a safe place to go to after school for one quarter of the school year.
- $468 Supports a family by offering a 75% discount on one year membership
- $1600 Helps a child avoid summer learning loss and attend 10 weeks of Summer Day Camp.

BANNER PROGRAM
RECIEVE RECOGNITION
Each year the Le Mars Area Family YMCA provides direct financial assistance for childcare, summer camp, swim lessons, youth sports and YMCA memberships. In gratitude and recognition of your generous support of $700 or more, a 3' x 6' full color banner with your name and/or logo will hang in our gym for one (1) year or in our indoor pool for seven (7) months. The banner is a way to for us to publicly thank you for your support, and positions you as a civic leader who cares about the health of our community’s children and families. A donation of $500 or more includes your company in our Digital Banner Sponsorship Program. The digital banner runs for one (1) year and will be displayed on a TV in the lobby of the YMCA. The Banner Program serves as a visual reminder of the contributions that make a difference in our community. By participating in our Banner Program, you align your business with a cause-driven charitable organization that focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

WHO WILL SEE YOU BANNER?
The Le Mars Area Family YMCA reaches more than 60,000 people annually with more than 300 individuals served on a daily basis. More than 715 households in our community are members of the YMCA which includes: 100 Youth Memberships, 258 Adult memberships, 150 senior memberships, and 246 household memberships.
In addition to everyday traffic, more than 1,000 people attend special events and programs annually held at the Le Mars Area Family YMCA, giving additional exposures to your banner.
Your banner will either be displayed in gymnasium or the indoor pool at the YMCA. Some of the classes and activities held in the gym and pool include:

VOLUNTEER: Do more, be more!
Volunteers are at the heart of the YMCA. Many of our events and programs for children and families are only possible because of the incredible people in our community who volunteer their time. Y Youth Sports are not possible without volunteer coaches. No experience is necessary. The Y’s coaching and youth sports philosophy is to focus on sportsmanship, fun and skill development, winning and losing are secondary. The responsibilities of a coach include promoting the Y philosophy to players, making sure all children get equal play time, and using yourself as a model of sportsmanship and fair play.
