Y DANCE
YMCA dance classes help to improve flexibility, coordination, balance, stamina, and strength. Our program allows students to explore dance in a fun and supportive environment. Our program introduces children grades K - 3rd grade to the joy of dance in a fun and supportive environment. Through imaginative movement, playful exercises, and age-appropriate choreography, self-confidence, and social skills
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
- The fundamentals of dance
- How to control their body movements
- Have a greater awareness of rhythm and music
- Self-confidence
2026 Session: September 3 – November 19. Showcase on December 3rd: The class will show off what they learn!

YOUTH SOCCER
The YMCA'S youth soccer programs offer a fun and engaging way for children to learn and enjoy the sport, developing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This program typically will focus on fundamental skills while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and fair play. The YMCA provides a structured environment for physical activity, social interaction, character development, and most importantly a safe place for your kiddos to have fun! Coaches are needed! With completion of coaching a $20 credit will be put on your YMCA account!
FALL 2026 Session: September 14, 2026- October 14, 2026
PreK: Wednesdays 5:15-6:00 PM
K-1st Grade: Monday 5:15-6:00 PM
2nd-3rd Grade: Tuesday 5:15-6:15 PM
4th-5th Grade: Thursday 5:15-6:15 PM
Program Fee: Y member: $45 / Community: $55 (+$15 if you need a re-usable youth sports jersey)
(All credit card payments will now include a 3% service charge. Cash/Check accepted in person with no fee.)

FLAG FOOTBALL
Flag Football is for all boys and girls going into Kindergarten - 3rd grade in the fall. This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of football, without tackling, and prepare your child for Middle School Youth Contact Football.Coaches are needed! MINI BASKETBALL
Join our Youth Basketball league! The focus of this league is on skill development and teamwork. This instructional league introduces your children to the fundamentals of the sport and develops social interaction all while having fun. Kids will learn the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Coaches are needed! With completion of coaching a $20 credit will be put on your YMCA account!

The Le Mars YMCA uses Playerspace for electronic communication and league management. Shortly after teams are created and coaches are set, you will receive a unique login to Playerspace via email.
What does this mean for parents/coaches?
- Convenient 24/7 online access to league information such as schedules & team information
- You will receive emails from PlayerSpace as to updates on important sports program information
- Parents/guardians can post and share pictures and videos with league participants.
- Convenient access to your private Playerspace email where all league communication can be viewed at any time.
- More detailed information as well as login usernames and passwords will be emailed once the league is set up and ready to go in Playerspace.
Youth Sports Frequently Asked Questions
Youth sports leagues at the Le Mars YMCA are available for children in PreK through 5th Grade. Below are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. Visit the Y or contact the Y with additional questions.
Youth Sports Cancelations/Refunds
In the event that something comes up and we have to cancel one of our sports programs, we will work to let you know promptly. Please check your emails, follow our social media accounts and sign up for Text Alerts.
Participant Initiated Cancelations:
- If a participant withdraws from a fee-based program 14 days prior to the start date, a full refund will be issued less a $10 processing fee.
- If a participant withdraws from a fee-based program < 7 days prior to the activity start date, a 75% refund will be processed.
- Participants cancelling once program has started will be provided a program credit.
- Not attending the program does not entitle a participant to a credit or refund. When enrolled, the participant is reserving space, time, and staffing regardless of whether the participant attends the program.
- When special circumstances arise where participation is not possible (i.e. family emergency), participant may request for consideration of a credit or refund.
YMCA Initiated Cancellations:
- All schedules, activities, classes, and/or programs may be changed or cancelled by the Y. If the Y cancels a fee-program due to low enrollment or staffing conflicts, a full refund will be provided.
- Y Sports does not issue refunds after the season has started. At times, the Le Mars YMCA may cancel a scheduled game/practice due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Due to reasons outside of our control we may not reschedule every game/practice.
