ADAPTIVE PIG PALS!
Adaptive Pig Pals is a NEW program in partnership with the YMCA and Iowa State Extension of Plymouth County. Adaptive PIG PALS is open to anyone with special needs who wants to learn how to work with show pigs. We will pair them with volunteers creating a new experience of showing pigs on one of our states biggest stages: The Plymouth County Fair! This program is offered to prepare for and parnter with Bacon Buddies that is offered on one day of the fair.
Volunteers will guide participants through pig handling, showmanship, and interacting with judges in front of a live audience.
Session: June 29 – July 27. Show times at the Fair TBD!
When: Mondays from 5:15 – 6:00 PM
Program Fee: FREE!

ADAPTIVE YOUTH BASEBALL
The Le Mars YMCA acknowledges that children have individual needs. We aim to serve ALL children whenever possible. YMCA Adaptive Sports are offered in a group setting, we are able to provide some accommodations however we are unable to provide one-on one care, unusual medical attention, or children exhibiting violent behavior.
The YMCA will provide staff and coaches for this program.
Session: April 6, 2026 – May 7, 2026
When: Mondays from 5:15 – 6:00 PM
Program Fee: $55 per kid (All card payments will now include a 3% service charge. Cash/Check accepted in person with no fee.)
