FROZEN FUN RUN 5K
June 21, 2025 ~ 7:30 AM
- The 5K chip-time, out-and-back race will start & finish at the Olsen Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars. The route winds through a residential neighborhood & onto a paved trail.
- Streets will not be closed. Volunteers will be assisting with directing traffic.
- Ear buds & headphones are not recommended. Use at your own risk.
- Young kids must run with a responsible adult (for 5K).
- No dogs.
- No refunds given due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Day of registrations will be accepted, but swag is not guaranteed.
- Stay after the race for awards: 1st-3rd place overall & for all age divisions.
FROZEN FUN RUN: T-Shirt Design Contest!
Help the Le Mars YMCA design a Frozen Fun Run t-shirt for their Ice Cream Days Fun Run! This years treat theme is Bomb Pops! Be sure to incorporate that in your design. The design picked will be put on the Frozen Fun Run T-shirts that runners wear at this years Ice Cream Days Frozen Fun Run. Winner will receive a FREE T-shirt with their design on it- plus an awesome prize! DEADLINE: May 5, 2025. Stop by the Y and grab a flyer or print one below. You can also design one digitally if that works better for you! Drop off t-shirt designs to the YMCA or email them to jessicas@lemarsymca.org.
COUCH TO 5K: Frozen Fun Run Training Program
Couch to 5K is a 6 week program designed to get just about anyone from the couch to walking, jogging, or running a 5K. The schedule requires 3 workouts a week and will end with participating in the Frozen Fun Run! Workouts will be held where the Frozen Fun Run will take place, so we will meet at Knights of Columbus for every workout!
When: May 5-June 21. Group meets Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 7:00-7:45 AM
Where: Meet at Olson Cultural Event Center (where race will start)
Program Fee: Y Member: $55 / Community: $65 (add$10 if you want to add 5K race t-shirt)

SANTA'S FUN RUN 5K & KID'S DASH

Kid's Dash 9:35 AM / 5K 10:00 AM
- The 5K chip-time, out-and-back race will start & finish at the Olsen Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars. The route winds through a residential neighborhood & onto a paved trail.
- The Kid’s Dash will start before the 5K. The kids will run 0.5 mile, out-and-back. (not chip-timed).
- Streets will not be closed. Volunteers will be assisting with directing traffic.
- Ear buds & headphones are not recommended. Use at your own risk.
- Young kids must run with a responsible adult (for 5K).
- No dogs.
- No refunds given due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Day of registrations will be accepted, but swag is not guaranteed.
- We encourage racers & walkers to dress up in your ‘Santa Suit’, ugly Christmas sweater, festive socks or any other holiday attire.
- Stay after the race for awards: 1st-3rd place overall & for all age divisions and BEST DRESSED PRIZES!
