GET STARTED ON YOUR HEALTH JOURNEY

Everyone can achieve a healthier lifestyle with support from the LE MARS YMCA. All members receive a free Wellness Appointment to determine the best path for them, plus unlimited access to state-of-the-art fitness equipment and fitness classes. The Y offers unlimited fitness classes and a variety of programs and activities that help people create healthy habits, become more active, and prevent disease.

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS

STRONG WOMEN UNITE!

Women on Weights is a small group (maximum of 6 people), instructor led program, that takes place over an 8 week time period. Groups meet with the instructor two times a week. Whether you're new to weight training or looking to enhance your routine, this class will leave you feeling stronger, more confident, and empowered.

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • 2 instructor led, small group workouts/week
  • 1 workout to do on your own/week
  • Guidance and motivation
  • Supportive community!

 

FALL 8-WEEK SESSION: September 14 – November 4, 2026.  Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15 PM

PROGRAM FEE:  Y Member: $75 / Community (non-member): $125

CHILD WATCH: This service will be available for kids if needed.  FREE for members; $5/day for non-members to use.

PLYMOUTH COUNTY COLLABORATION

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY WELL-BEING

The Plymouth County Collaboration brings together local agencies, healthcare providers, schools, and community partners to improve the overall well‑being of residents through coordinated action. By aligning resources, sharing data, and addressing health challenges collectively, the group strengthens access to services, reduces duplication of efforts, and ensures that our community receives consistent, community‑centered support.

Y WELLNESS: Monthly Education Series

The Le Mars Y is teaming up to offer a FREE Wellness Education Series. 

The Le Mars YMCA is more than a gym. We’re a community – a place where you can gather, connect with others, and learn something new! We are excited to partner with Floyd Valley Healthcare and Le Mars Physical Therapy to offer this new program.  These series feature a range of speakers from a wide variety of expertise. From health and wellness, to finances to cybersecurity, there is plenty to learn!

Each session will provide educational information about various topics from local health and wellness leaders.  If you want to present on a topic to the community reach out to Jessica at 712-546-6655 or jessicas@lemarsymca.org.

YOUTH FITNESS ORIENATION

Get stronger together!

Our Youth Fitness Orientations are a FREE is a 30-45 instructional session that is required before youth and teens ages 10–13 may use strength or cardio equipment at the Y. These orientations introduce youth to age-appropriate weight machines and equipment and include supportive instruction on proper use and safety information. A parent or guardian must attend the orientation with the child. If the child is granted access to certain areas after the orientation, they must ALWAYS be under direct supervisions of someone 18 & older. They cannot independently workout until they are 14 years old.

CHILD & BABYSITTING SAFETY

Adventures in babysitting!

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives pre-teens, teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The program teaches how to get started with a business, working with parents and children, and key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. The training is perfect for young kids interested in a babysitting business, or who have responsibility for younger family members. Students will also learn how to assist with potty training & diaper changes, feeding techniques and how to make bottles.

All card payments will now include a 3% service charge.  Cash/Check accepted in person with no fee.
